As you might expect, June is my favorite month of the year because it is Father’s Day month. Across this month, I encourage you as a dad, adoptive dad or spiritual father, to take inventory of where you are and commit to growing in your role as a father. I love being a dad! To have the opportunity to reflect my Heavenly Father in the home and in the lives of the children is daunting. If the doctor knew me, he would never have allowed me to walk out of the hospital with my bride holding that tiny new-born that would be completely dependent on us for everything.
Things changed that first Easter not quite 2000 years ago. A new day dawned in the hearts and minds of Jesus’ disciples. All the teaching, the parables and the miracles would have a new light shown on them. While darkness seemed to envelop all Friday and Saturday, Jesus’ light blasted through on Sunday.
There is a lot going on this week at most churches. There is Maundy Thursday when many churches put on a ‘Live Last Supper’ production. Then Good Friday commemorates the Passion, crucifixion and death of Jesus the Christ. All goes dark on Friday. On Sunday, all is bright in celebration of the resurrection of our Savior and Lord!

Being clean covers a wide spectrum of challenges. To a dad in the midst of the diaper years it can mean one thing. And when a teenage son confesses to his dad that he is struggling with pornography, it takes on a whole different meaning.
