M V P Fathers is a high-energy event designed to recharge dads. Godly wisdom will be shared by four dynamic speakers – view a short promo video by clicking HERE. Von Won will emcee the evening and Vincente Ibarra will provide worship.
Join other dads for an evening with Melvin Adams, Harlem Globetrotter; Buddy Griffin, Author & speaker; Mike Rosas, Houston Rockets Chaplain; and myself. MVP stands for being Motivated as a dad, providing Vision in family and being Purpose-filled as a faithful father – to become the dad you are called to be, the dad the next generation needs.
Did He not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. – Malachi 2:15a. The expectation of our Father is for dads to be engaged in raising a Godly generation. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. – Ephesians 6:4. Children are brought up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord when dads live under the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Kids tend to catch what Dad has more than they do what he says. The charge for dads is to nurture a personal, passionate and growing relationship with Jesus the Christ. As a dad learns to live that relationship in marriage and reflect it in family, he will be engaged in raising a Godly generation.
MVP Fathers is being hosted by Sagemont Church in the Chapel room on Saturday evening, October 20th, 2018, 6:00-7:30P.M. Doors will open at 5:30P.M. The event is free. Register at faithfulfathering.org but know walk-ins are welcome. There will be refreshments & door prizes.
Prayer guide: Father, thank You for the opportunity to be Your representative in family. I have on occasion allowed frustration from work to follow me into the home. My anger in-turn provoked my children to anger. Forgive me. Help me walk closer to You, under the discipline and instruction of You in order to be the man, husband and father You expect me to be. Grant me strength to engage in raising a Godly generation, to be a faithful father – that is the dad You call me to be and the dad my kids need. Amen.
A faithful father gets recharged and engages in raising a Godly generation.
