This is a heads up on three trips available this summer with Faithful Fathering. There will be a father-daughter hiking trip, a father-son backpacking trip and a camping trip for men and young men. Each is a week-long wilderness experience that provides for a wonderful opportunity to tune-out the noise of the world and tune-in to relationship with each other and with the Father.

Walking Together is a father-daughter hiking trip for dads with daughters(ages 13+), scheduled for June 10-16, 2018. Based out of Mountain Light Lodge above Pagosa Springs, Colorado, the trip will include two fabulous day-hikes, one overnight in the Weminuche Wilderness, a float trip down the San Juan River and a half-day in the hot springs. Faithful Fathering, in partnership with Voice of Wilderness, will lead the trip and conduct nightly study / discussion time for the dads and daughters. Connecting Man to Man is a father-son backpacking trip for dads with sons(ages 14+), scheduled for June 17-23, 2018. This is a great week of adventure in the Weminuche Wilderness – after a night at the Mountain Light Lodge, we will venture off for five days/four nights of backpacking, summiting a couple of local peaks, dropping a line in a mountain lake and return to Pagosa for a half-day in the hot springs. Faithful Fathering, in partnership with Voice of Wilderness, will lead the trip and conduct nightly study / discussion time for the dads and sons. This will be a week to enjoy the wilderness, make memories and discuss topics man to man that may not get the time they deserve in the normal day-to-day routine. The Creator exhibits His invisible qualities, power and divine nature in everything around us every day but the noise level is so high, it takes focused effort to discern His presence. When one sees the Milky Way in all its brilliance in the mountains of Colorado & Northern New Mexico, there are no distractions and no excuses for discerning His presence.

Men Investing in Men High Country Adventure is a camping trip for men and young men. With basecamp established at Jacks Creek campsite in the Santa Fe National Forest, it will be a fabulous week to check out of the world and check-in to God’s creation. For over ten years, fathers and spiritual fathers have invested time with younger men as all enjoy good food, great fellowship, day-hikes, a day-trip to Tent Rock and an optional raft trip. Prayer guide: Lord, thank You for creating such fabulous wilderness for us to enjoy and draw closer to You. I too often allow myself to get caught up in the day-to-day noise that I do not schedule one-on-one getaway time. Forgive me. Soften my heart to opportunities You put before me and help me prioritize my schedule to make a trip happen this year. Guide me and be with me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
