Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. – Deuteronomy 7:9. Our Father is a faithful Father. He has proven His faithfulness in loving us so much that He gave us the Christ child, Himself incarnate.
As you celebrate Christmas with your family, reflect on what kind of love this is, our Father’s love - A covenant of love so strong that He allowed His Son to walk this earth all the way to the cross, to put death to the sin that got between He and us. Death to sin, power in the resurrected Christ and indwelling of the Holy Spirit was birthed that first Christmas morn. What a Gift! Before you share gifts in family, read the story of The Gift as a family – Luke 1:28 - 2:20.
Prayer guide: Lord, help me embrace fully the Gift You have blessed me with in the virgin birth of the Christ child. Forgive me for getting caught up in the purchasing of gifts for others on Your birthday. Guide me in leading my family with the focus on You, on the promise of Your love for us and how Jesus fulfilled that promise through His life, death, resurrection, appearance to many and ascension. Our Father, Who art in Heaven, thank You for being a faithful Father. Amen.
Faithful Fathering encourages and equips dads to be faithful fathers, dads that prioritize physical presence, are engaged emotionally and lead spiritually by example. Dads that are engaged in raising a godly generation are the solution to many societal woes – babies born out of wedlock, disrespect for authority and prison population to name a few.
Faithful Fathering humbly asks for your support on this journey to turn hearts of fathers to their children. Please prayerfully consider a year-end gift or regular giving across 2015.
