We have NO EXCUSES - Hiking through the San Juan Wilderness in
SW Colorado the past couple of weeks, first with fathers & daughters and second with fathers & sons, I experienced Romans 1:20. There are NO EXCUSES for not recognizing the Almighty's Hand in the creation. The expectation that follows recognition of God is to also recognize His Son and walk under the influence of the Holy Spirit as godly, righteous men. As we do, a godly and righteous generation will follow.

The Word on NO EXCUSES is:

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." - Romans 1:20

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them." - Rom.1:18-19. Verses 21-32 go on to describe the consequences for men that make excuses.

Prayer guide: Lord, sometimes it is easier to make excuses for my behavior and actions, at least in the short term. But You never said the Christian walk was to be easy. Strengthen me to accept responsibility for what is evident and true in Your creation - that You are God and I am not. Guide me in relationship with Your Son, under the influence of the Holy Spirit to be the godly and righteous man You expect me to become, the man my family needs to lead them in Your Way. Amen.

A faithful father makes no excuses and leads spiritually by example.
